The Weather

Rydal is right on top of the Great Dividing Range with an altitude of almost 1,000 metres (about the same as Mount Victoria). Summers in the district can be dry and warm, with the changing seasons of Spring and Autumn, delightful. Winters are often very cold and crisp, and early morning frosts turn everything into a silver-white fairyland.

It is rarely very hot and never humid in Rydal, and cool weather can unexpectedly arrive any time of the year. We frequently have cool nights, and it sometimes snows in Rydal. So, be sure to bring your warm clothes with you.
